We are looking for experienced stylists and barbers to join us! Our small, locally owned and operated salon in a busy complex in downtown Brentwood Bay is perfect for growing and comfortably accommodating your clientele. Our ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude as well as confidence in providing exceptional results and experiences for clients. We are open to hiring someone familiar with a variety of basic services (washing, cutting, colouring), but we would also consider someone who has a specialty they love to practice if they have an existing client base or a specialty that will help us better serve our community’s clientele.

Your work environment would consist of a small, supportive team of other well-experienced stylists and a full-time receptionist. Additionally, we provide a great work-life balance with daytime hours, flexible scheduling, stat holidays off, one week of vacation in the summer and one week over Christmas, as well as staff perks!

Requirements

-At least 2 years of professional salon experience

-Must have graduated from an accredited program or possess the equivalent amount of apprenticeship/professional experience

-Must live in the area or have the ability to reliably commute to work

-Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada

-Must be able to process bookings and transactions through salon software and POS when necessary (we employ a full-time receptionist who handles most of this), or be willing to learn

What we offer

-Starting hourly wage of $19 or service commissions (whichever is greater) + Tips paid out daily

-Commission on product sales

-Full-time or part-time hours, Tuesday to Saturday

White House Salon has a room available for experienced esthetics professionals. The 7x12 space is best suited for services such as medical esthetics, permanent makeup, laser treatments, manis, pedis, waxing, brows, and lashes as the room is not soundproofed; however, we are open to hosting someone with any similar specialties they love to practice if they have an existing client base!

Our bright, fun, and professional salon is in a very visible location with lots of walk-by traffic and free parking. There is also a huge demand for esthetic services in the area, making us the perfect place to not just host your existing clients, but to grow your business! Our ideal fit will possess a positive attitude as well as confidence in providing exceptional results and experiences for clients.

Rent From Us

For the right person, we would gladly consider room rental in lieu of employment. If you are interested in this option, please attach a letter indicating this to your resume.

Rental Eligibility

-You have at least a small existing client base

-You prefer to work within our business hours (9:30am - 5:30pm Tuesday to Friday, and 9:00am - 4:00pm on Saturday)

-You can adapt to our vacation scheduling (we close all stat holiday weekends, as well as one week over the summer and one week over Christmas)
